Arch Investment Partners is a proud supporter of IESE Business School (ranked 1st in Europe and 8th globally for its full-time MBA course by The Economist in 2016) and the annual IESE International Private Equity Competition (IPEC). Since 2012, Arch Investment Partners have been invited to judge the final round of the prestigious competition at the IESE Barcelona campus.
Participating business schools in the competition include LBS, INSEAD, HEC, IE and ESADE, as well as industry representatives from firms such as KPMG, the Carlyle Group and CVC Capital Partners.
About the competition
IPEC is a competition that simulates a real-life private equity transaction. Teams of students from different MBA schools have the chance to negotiate with, and present in front of judges from renowned private equity firms and in front of managers and bankers who actually participated in the case deal. Students are advised by leading industry practitioners about how to improve their proposals using their knowledge and experience, before final presentations are made and the winning proposal selected by the judges.
The competition’s objective is to promote the industry to students who are thinking about a career in private equity or investment banking, as well as give them a valuable educational experience.
